On this site Palmiye Wood Decoration, an Istanbul door and furniture workshop, presents fire-rated doors made for hotels. In a hotel almost every guest room entrance and many corridor and stair doors must resist fire and smoke, yet they are also among the first things a guest notices.

Our job is to make both requirements work in the same door. The fire performance of each opening comes from the project specification; we produce the doors to that specification and supply the related documents on request. The guest-facing side follows the interior design of the floor: a veneer that matches the headboards, a lacquer colour from the corridor palette, or a door with a decorative frame and room number plate.

Hotel work rarely happens in an empty building. For renovations we plan production and fitting floor by floor, so that the hotel can keep other floors open. A mock-up room door can be installed first for the operator to approve finish, hardware and acoustic details. Locks, closers, viewers and seals are sourced and prepared in our workshop.

Our own installers handle the fitting on site, working in coordination with the main contractor and the hotel team. Doors for hotels abroad are packed by floor and room for easier handling.
